3WW: Watching the Madmen

Today’s Three Word Wednesday listed the following three words:
downhill, freak, sliver

Sometimes, the words are difficult for haiku. This time, I focused on the fact that I am *not* a winter sports kind of person. This is not really a true haiku but close, I think.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Watching the Madmen
by J.M. Mendur

The downhill skiers
ride mountains on wood slivers –
The freaks of winter.

Love it hubby daughters are not sports minded and always say that you have to be crazy to go out in really cold weather and ski.

Looks good to me. I had the same take on the words this week.

Very nice use of the prompts with so few words. A nice tight 5-7-5.
